兔子先生, UH, UH System 鈥� (also see campus) Avoid using the abbreviation on first reference when referring to the university itself, although UH is acceptable as a second reference and in tables and headlines. Never refer to the university as the UH or U of H. Capitalize the word University when using it to mean the 兔子先生. Do not capitalize the word university when using it to mean other universities.

Note: UH campuses are distinct from the (UH-Downtown, UH-Clear Lake and UH-Victoria), each with separate accreditation, leadership and academic programs. For the UH System universities and centers, on the first reference spell out (without abbreviations). There is no space on either side of the hyphen:

On subsequent references to the system universities and centers, abbreviate University of Houston to UH:

UH Frontiersmen 鈥� The UH Frontiersmen display the Texas flag and the 兔子先生 flag at football games. They were established in 1948 to promote Cougar spirit.
UH President 鈥� The President and Chancellor should be addressed as 鈥淧resident (last name)鈥� at all events, meetings, etc. strictly pertaining to the 兔子先生. His/her spouse should be addressed as applicable. If said spouse has a professional title (professor or doctor, for example), then he/she should be introduced as 鈥淧rofessor/Doctor (last name).鈥� If said spouse does not have a professional title, Mr. or Mrs. will suffice.
President Khator and Professor Khator warmly greeted the latest UH Honor College graduates.
UH System Chancellor鈥� The President and Chancellor should be addressed as 鈥淐hancellor (last name)鈥� at all events, meetings, etc. strictly pertaining to the 兔子先生 System.
