UH President Renu Khator initiated the Presidential Frontier Faculty to elevate the institution鈥檚 research profile and extend its academic reach. The program is presently overseen by the Office of the Provost and Division of Research.

Meet the Presidential Frontier Faculty

The 兔子先生 launched its Presidential Frontier Faculty (PFF) initiative in 2022 to recruit top scholars from around the globe. These researchers and teachers engage in interdisciplinary research that responds to societal challenges facing communities around the globe.

  • Dalia Munenzon, Professor of Architecture

    Professor Munenzon is award-winning researcher whose visions for resilient, sustainable communities support her scholarly efforts at UH.

  • Mingjian Wen, Assistant Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

    Dr. Wen leads research leveraging AI, high-performance computing, and molecular simulations to design new materials for renewable energy.

  • Neema Langa, Assistant Professor of African American Studies and Sociology

    Since arriving at UH in 2022, Dr. Langa has continued to research gender and healthcare disparities, specifically topics related to maternal healthcare and outcomes.
