Working with Houston History magazine, this Oral History Assistant / Transcriptionist position requires someone who is detail oriented to organize previously recorded interviews for deposit in Special Collections in the MD Anderson library and proofread or transcribe audio oral history interviews collected for the Welcome Wilson Houston History Collaborative.
The position also offers the opportunity to gain publishing experience with the Houston History magazine, which uses our interviews.
Responsibilities are spread throughout the school year and are not all part of the daily routine at the same time. Training will be provided for all job duties, so you do not need to be an expert in the field to apply.
